Citadel Medievals. “Individualized” like the some of the Dark Age and Fantasy Tribe figures, with varied heads, weapons, and shields. Sculpted By Michael and Alan Perry.
Medievals first mentioned in Military Modeling Magazine July 1980, and advertised in MMM Sept 1980. Advertised in the Citadel Catalogs 1981-1983. Repackaged as Ral Partha Imports 1984 & 1985, then by RAFM 1986.
In 1983, with the first release of Warhammer, the Medievals and Dark Age range, become C37 & C38 Medieval Adventurers, and C39 Medieval Cavalry. Per Warhammer 1st Edition Vol.1 : Tabletop Battles "Citadel fighting men are available to meet the requirements of the most demanding commander! C37, C28, and C39 provide an assortment of Medieval and Dark Age warriors together with Arab types and fearsome Vikings." With the Forces of Fantasy Supplement and 2nd Editions of Warhammer, "men" were divided as Men of the West, Men of the East, Men of the North, etc.
