At the time when the Harry Potter books were immensely popular, Games Workshop embarked upon a studio project to design a Quidditch game. The game and associated figures were never released and were one of GW's better kept secrets until one former staff member attempted to sell some of the material on eBay. Even then very little was known as those items never seemed to actually reach collectors hands.

Subsequently, it has been found that development had reached the point of there being rules, playing cards, a playing board and ten miniatures. It seems the game was designed for 4 players, each with a team of 7 figures.
